IGSG Training for Akshaya ADC's was successfully completed

Integrated Govt Service Gateway (IGSG) is a FOSS based geographical information Portal, which serves as a ready reckoner of all the Government offices, tourist destinations, and other places of historical significance in Kerala. It provides details of location, how to reach and the services offered, etc. to the citizens. It helps the public to easily gather information through this WebGIS Application without any time delay. As a pilot implementation, the geographical details of the Trivandrum District has been digitized and is made available right now and is in the process of updating this WebGIS with relevant information about the state of Kerala as a Wiki-model.

Apart from the WebGIS, we are also introducing a Touch Screen Kiosk model into the proposed system and this will be placed at Trivandrum International Airport.

Presently available map with the data of State boundary, Panchayath, Block, District boundaries, all Kerala road map, and the details of the main places. The facility for adding the suggestion button is useful for adding new data in to the map. The new data may be a place, Office, or a Tourist Location and an administrator will authorised the added data, after the authorisation the data will be the part of the map.

The general search box is useful for common search, the user can enter any keyword for the search purpose if the details available it will presented in an interactive manner. If the user want to focus his search more specific, then the Advanced search facility is available for that. In the Advanced search the user can search a term more specifically.

Reference Point

This facility is a most advanced feature in this system. Using this Reference point a person can easily set in the WebGIS itself his location in it and this will help him to find out his reach easily from the reference point to his destination.

Shortest Path

Using the shortest path facility, an user can easily find out his immediate destination from the current location and also the shortest route can be made available using this facility.
